Connect Your First Cloud Storage

Step-by-step guide to connect Google Drive, OneDrive, Dropbox, or a local NAS.

Connect Your First Cloud Storage

Step-by-step walkthrough:

1

Open the Storage Manager

In the left sidebar of Ultra Explorer, click "Storages" then select the "New Storage" button in the upper right.

2

Choose Your Provider

Open the provider selector (or use the built-in search bar) and pick your service from 42+ categorized options (Google Drive, Microsoft OneDrive, Amazon S3, Proton Drive, MEGA, Backblaze B2, pCloud, SMB/CIFS NAS, etc.). Give it a memorable label (e.g., "Personal-OneDrive").

3

Authorize via Browser or Credentials

For major consumer clouds, Ultra Explorer automatically launches your browser to log in via official, secure OAuth. For local SMB shares or SFTP servers, enter the host, port, and credentials in the wizard.

No plaintext passwords are ever exposed. Only secure tokens or encrypted configs are saved into your local rclone.conf file.
4

Test and Start Exploring

Click "Test Connection". A green checkmark confirms success. Your newly added remote is immediately available in the Dual-Pane Explorer!
