Overview of Oracle Object Storage Integration

Browse and sync your Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Object Storage buckets from the desktop. You need your tenancy namespace, a compartment and a region.

  • Instance principal (IAM role of an OCI instance) or anonymous access to public buckets
  • Buckets listed per compartment
  • Migrate buckets to AWS or Azure in the dual-pane view

How to connect Oracle Object Storage in Ultra Explorer

  1. Choose Oracle Object Storage

    Select Oracle in Object Storage.

  2. Enter namespace, compartment and region

    In the OCI console, copy the Object Storage namespace from your tenancy details and the OCID of the compartment that holds your buckets.

  3. Choose the authentication mode

    Pick Instance principal when Ultra Explorer runs on an OCI instance with an IAM role, or No auth for public buckets.

  4. Connect

    Click 'Connect and verify'.

Frequently Asked Questions about Oracle Object Storage

  • Log in to the Oracle Cloud console, open the Profile menu at the top right and click 'Tenancy'. The namespace is displayed there.
